What stays with you only

Your notes, takeaways, saved quotes, page addresses and titles, folders and settings are stored only in your browser. The extension does not send them anywhere, and we do not have them.

What is sent

On first run the extension creates a random install ID. It is not linked to your name, email, Google account or device. This ID is sent to our server, api.alexeyponomarev.ru, together with usage marks (see below).

A usage mark is one word about what happened: the extension was installed, a note was saved, the list of notes was opened, search was used. It comes with the install ID, the extension version and the language of the interface (English or Russian); the server adds the time. What you saved or searched for is never part of it: no note text, no quote, no takeaway, no page address or title, no folder name, no search query.

What the server keeps

• the install ID;
• usage marks: the kind of event, the extension version, the interface language and the time.

Our server does not store IP addresses. The reverse proxy in front of it keeps a technical request log (IP address, time, request path, browser) for troubleshooting and abuse protection. The log is shared by the whole server, capped at 10 MB and overwritten as it fills up.

Why

To see, in aggregate, how the extension is used: how many installs actually save notes and which language versions people use. The data is not sold, not shared with third parties and not used for advertising.

Deletion

Open the extension's list of insights, copy the ID shown at the bottom (“My ID”) and send it to nicerdicer2014@gmail.com. Everything stored under that ID is deleted from the server, and we confirm by email. Backups catch up as they rotate, within 14 days.

To delete everything stored in your browser, uninstall the extension.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
